Welcome
to azpigeonman.com
Dedicated to the promotion
of domestic pigeons, the worlds oldest hobby.
Thank you for coming to my
site.
Pigeons have been a part of my life
since 1974.
During the past 3 decades I have raised Birmingham Rollers and West of
England
Tumblers predominantly,
I have also dabbled in an assorted list of others.
I have studied genetics because of my
involvement with pigeons and found it interesting and applicable to many other
things in life.
Beside my faith in God, This hobby has given me more than any other
endeavor I
have been involved with to date.
Pigeons have influenced humanity since before written history.
It is a shame that some people think pigeons are
filthy disease carrying animals.
They are not that, they are not only the world’s oldest hobby, they have
been an important part of humanity for millennia.
Check out my site and perhaps you will understand why I and so many others love pigeons.
All constructive comments and criticism of course are welcome.
English
Trumpeters

I raise
English Trumpeters. This will be my second attempt to establish a
family of ET's and raise competitive pigeons in this breed.
My friends Joe Hammons and Diane Jacky and Wayne Hanson have given me a
start. I currently am focusing on the following genetics projects in English
Trumpeters. Toy stencil in bar pattern, tippler bronze, and the
three main colors in pigeons, brown, ash red and blue in bar
pattern.
My ultimate goal is to raise top quality ET's in and win a color class at the Pageant
of Pigeons in California held the weekend before Thanksgiving every year.
A mighty high goal it is, but I feel it is attainable.
Other Pigeon
Breeds

There are many different breeds of pigeons. There
are three main categories of pigeons.
Performance breeds, Show breeds and Utility breeds.
There is more information on these categories elsewhere
on this site.
I am also pursuing my interest in Birmingham Rollers and
bald head West of
England
Tumblers now that loft space allows.
My new friend Peter Tapia of Albuquerque New Mexico has helped
me get back into West of England Tumblers. A very generous man indeed.
My long time friend Chris Summerhayes has bred me up a kit of rollers
to fly so it seems my plans of flying rollers again and breeding Wests
has come to fruition.
I thank God for all of my friends.
More pictures will certainly follow as time allows.
English Trumpeters and West of England Tumblers are show
pigeons and
Birmingham Rollers are a performance breed.
Birmingham Rollers should not be confused with Show Rollers, a show
breed. They are entirely different in many respects.
This is a all breeds online pigeon club. I have
additional website space set aside for members.
A Pigeon Sellers Corner will also
be available.
It is an ongoing project of mine as
a way to promote our hobby.
